The Gingerbread Hag

The project was completed in a team of students. Those involved are as followed: Hagan Miller (Environmental Art and Level Design), Woody McCoy (Programming), Yumi Sato (Music and UI), Margot Stewart (Animations and Character Concept Art), and Chileshe Otieno (Programming) This was a 5-week project.

Summary

You play as Rosina Leckermaul (Raisin Sweet-Tooth), a witch who captures and eats children. Your friend, the big bad wolf, has told you about his secret: eating protagonists is really tasty. Your goal is to capture and eat your enemies: Hansel and Gretel. You want revenge because they ate your previous home. To do this, you need a supply of candy, which you obtain by capturing and cooking other children. You continue the cycle of creating candy, luring in children, and using them to create even greater sweets until you capture your final goal.

3D Modeling and Style

I utilized Rhino to create the models for this game. The models were then transferred to Unity where they were colored and textured. The art style was to follow a cartoonish aesthetic to offset the dark undertones of cooking and eating children.
